Microbiologist-Laboratory Research Assistant

We are looking to recruit 3 experienced microbiologist-laboratory research assistants on an initial fixed term, 1 year contract, to support an exciting antimicrobial drug discovery programme.

 

Candidates must be committed and enthusiastic bench scientists who can work well as part of a small, multi-disciplined research team based in Aberdeen.  General microbiology lab experience, particularly knowledge of and experience in antimicrobial susceptibility testing is essential.  We would prefer for the candidate to also have virology expertise but can provide the required training for the right candidate.  Ideally, the candidate will also be experienced in cell biology and tissue culture.  Candidates must be willing to accommodate and ideally be familiar with the quality structure and systems that are integral to commercial drug discovery and development research practices, yet flexible/adaptable within a small company environment.

 

Remuneration package for the post is £26,400.00 per annum. We anticipate interviewing by video as soon as possible. Start date – immediate.

Regulatory Affairs Lead

 

We are looking to recruit an experienced regulatory affairs operative on an initial fixed term, 1 year contract, to support an exciting antimicrobial drug discovery programme.

 

Candidates must have proven project management skills that would enable the most effective day-to-day management and delivery of a multi-faceted laboratory-regulatory-clinical trial start up project that will transition an exciting antimicrobial-immumodulator therapy candidate into phase 2 clinical development.  The regulatory element is central to this role and the candidate will have experience and a successful track record in regulatory and ethics submissions to the MHRA and NHS-REC. The candidate will be the thread that connects the essential preclinical laboratory data, regulatory and clinical study start up elements, ensuring milestones are met and timelines adhered to internally and by subcontractors.  The candidate will work alongside the company’s CEO, chief medical officer and clinical liaison.  The candidate can be based remotely and would only be required, subject to the COVID19 pandemic situation, to be on site at NovaBiotics R&D HQ in Aberdeen periodically (potentially twice per month at most).
